RealmForging is being created to bring exciting homebrew content to your Dungeons & Dragons tabletop. While content will be a little sparse as things get setup, I'm hard at work forging new content. ๐ณ๏ธโ๐ #Gaming #DnD #TTRPG https://realmforging.com

Been into taking photos since I was a kid. Started to get into photography more seriously as I got older. My photography page: @matthopkinsphotos.bsky.social
Creating a setting for players to care about is definitely the goal. Each race will have their own history and culture based on the world and events. I think it still makes sense to keep things like dwarves being people of underground places and elves being people of the forest w/o the stereotypes.
I guess for me preserving the overall hallmarks felt important so players don't feel completely out of their environment but then I can build upon and break out of that as their culture deepens and expands into the world itself.
Some, like the Tabaxi for example, have a much more unique origin.
Yeah any location specific stuff will get tossed. I want to try to keep their overall vibe intact and make it make sense in a unique setting.
Merging existing #DnD races into a custom setting is a delicate balance. With the ancient origins and homelands established, building their cultural identities will be up next.
You can read more about the origins of each and the world itself here: realmforging.com/kemet/

Labyrinth for sure. Playing a campaign where one of my characters was inspired by Sarah. Currently on Disney+
A world map of a fictional planet called Kemet for use in TTRPGs.
The first batch of content for my #TTRPG Campaign Setting is up. This includes the first pass for racial origin stories and how the planet was created.
The world map has also been updated and in higher resolution.

A map of a nation with locations and borders marked in Red, Yellow, and Green. Represents: A) borders at conflict points
A nation map with Red spheres of influence around settlements and points of interest. Represents: B) spheres of influence of controlled land
A nation map with Red spheres of influence around settlements and points of interest as well as Red, Yellow, and Green borders. Represents: C) both
I'm working on nations in my custom #TTRPG setting. I want wilderness where not all land is controlled
Would you rather:
A) borders at conflict points
B) spheres of influence of controlled land
C) both
Settlements/POIs directly under nation's control for laws and taxes will be colored.
Examples:
A tabletop roleplay map with several floors.
A new mini dungeon, The Eternal Lighthouse is perfect for a one shot or a single session of a larger #TTRPG campaign, regarless of level.
Comes with location map, backstory, adventure ideas and a BBEG token.

We had our Thursday night #DnD session last night and I managed to roll an attack roll of 9 five times in a row. So unlucky!
If only I could melt down Roll20 digital dice.
A construct wearing a doublet with two swords and a feathered cap.
Toby's latest journal entry is up!
Things take an unexpected turn and The Favored Few need to act before many more people could be injured.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
I hope you all enjoy a wonderful day full of friends, family and food.
With the holidays approaching I haven't had as much time to work on new content but here's a little tease of things to come in the future.
My custom #DnD setting is coming along and I've finished creating the world map. I'll be making nation maps with much more detail as the world is fleshed out.

That's huge! Congrats
I also made a Twitter account when starting this venture but in hindsight that seems like it was a waste of time. Not only have I had almost no engagement there but I don't even have a desire to build a following within such a space.
The most important thing in writing is to finish. A finished thing can be fixed. A finished thing can be published. A finished thing can be made into a movie.
An unfinished thing is just a dream. And dreams fade if you don't hold on tight enough.
So finish the thing.
Not sure what your using it for but for all my DnD related stuff I'm using Obsidian and it's fantastic. Markdown and it acts like a wiki for me
It's #FollowFriday!
Maybe check out these cool people and give them a follow.

If we're saying peace has fallen over the land and imminent death isn't a concern then I'd probably want to live in Aeternum just because it's gorgeous.
Bluesky is so neat. I just learned you can change your handle to just your domain!
For sure, its still very early in development but I'm happy to talk about it more
Basically I'm working on creating a custom world setting for DnD that can be used as a campaign so it would be a lot of landscapes, citys/towns, geological features, etc.
I really want to include reference art for as many places in the world as possible but I'm learning that maybe I need to scale back ๐
Anytime! It was a great help and I'm glad to see you're active on here too, instant follow back ๐
