Huge well done to Hannah and all involved in making this happen!! The terrible lies & slurs about our drug policy by both labour & reform didn't land. That's because they were ridiculous and people are far more intelligent than they've been given credit for.

UK drug laws are currently built on hypocrisy & the price is paid in preventable deaths.
Greens want to take control of a market that exploits people, is violent & devoid of care.
I worked on our policy in 2019 with grieving families, doctors, an ex undercover- cop...& I'll continue to back it.
A reminder that at the heart of our policy is care and harm reduction set out in our 6 principles. Don't listen to the dangerous propaganda from @labouruk.bsky.social .The current system offers little protection to young people and vulnerable adults.

This news is utterly heartbreaking. I met Peter a few times and, like many others, I've been inspired by his direct action to address drug harms.
My thoughts are with his friends, family & all those feelings this loss.

Drug consumption rooms save lives. They were recommended by a cross-party Home Affairs Select Committee in 2023....now not supported by Government.
