this was an issue with refresh tokens not lasting 2 weeks iirc

... e.g. only reading auth it makes total sense imho.
Every screen during signin/-up adds at least 10% to the dropoff rate. Plus I don't see a benefit for the user here. I need a carte blanche anyway since @flashes.blue and @skeetsapp.com are essentially remote controls for your account (up to acc deletion).
But for web services that need ...
Yeah, that's not really a story, but rather a regular post.
Stories in Flashes have their own lexicon and don't pollute your Bluesky timeline. You can see the lexicon here: flashes.blue/lexicons/blu...
They're saved as its own data type in your PDS. The Flashes AppView only delivers them for 24h
yeah, but I haven't seen an implementation yet that doesn't log you out after 2 days. Do you know if that is solved yet?
try prepending it with https://
App passwords are actually a pretty decent solution for native apps - when it comes to accessibility - since they're saved to the Keychain.
OAuth - though the technical better and preferred solution - adds friction for the average user.
actually....try prepending it with https://
oh right...I'll check the domain verification
hm...need to check. Normally, custom PDSs should be supported ๐ง will have to investigate
No, what you're referring to would be regular Flashes posts. Those also show up on Bluesky.
Stories have their own format which is atm only supported by @flashes.blue but will also be adopted by e.g. @skeetsapp.com
๐ฌ | Guysโฆif youโre an artist or a fan of art and want a more streamlined way to view it only try out @flashes.blue (The Flashes App) !! You can choose which feed you want to view and the โFor Youโ feed made by @/spacecowboy17.bsky.social works perfectly. You can also curate a portfolio there! ๐ซก
no, not yet. Limited funding makes this unpredictable atm.
testing has begun
It's in alpha development
Without funding....slim to none. What I could add is support for royalty free music - but it's a lot of work for something most people won't use imho
Reposting this because the last post went out with German language setting ๐คฆโโ๏ธ
If you don't want Stories at all you can disable the feature app-wide in the settings.
Have fun!!!
Furthermore, weโve started adding localization to the app for Japanese ๐ฏ๐ต, Korean ๐ฐ๐ท, Spanish ๐ช๐ธ, German ๐ฉ๐ช, Italian ๐ฎ๐น, French ๐ซ๐ท, Portuguese ๐ต๐น๐ง๐ท and Polish ๐ต๐ฑ.
The Timeline in Flashes with the New Stories button at the top
The new story button
A text overlay edit editor
The new stories viewer
The time has come (Part 2) - we're (soft-) launching โStories" on iOS today (again).
At the top of your timeline you'll see the stories of the people you follow. We'll start with photos and a text overlay. Stories will be visible for 24h (we'll add more options later).
They should be saved on your PDS?
interesting, thx for noticing!
Kinda crazy that your regular posts sit on your PDS (in the UK?), the data is processed and disseminated by US servers and the Stories are being served out of Germany.
Also have my own moderation labeler now :) @ozone.flashes.blue
Well, it's by far not full-featured yet. but the new functions (Stories) are delivered through my AppView
That's defined by the logic of the App View. My Flashes AppView does it this way :)
which part? the deleting later part where we delete after 24h or what's happening now (not delivering after 24h)?
soon
not yet. that's coming with one of the next releases. right now they just won't be delivered by the appview
they're stored in your PDS so @pinksky.app could show them as well
The backend is under a lot of pressure right now. Hold tight, I'm trying to increase the capacity.
Private will take a while but itโs on the horizon.
