over the next couple weeks, we're going to be sharing more about what we're building at @habitat.network :)
here's the first ... excited to see things break for the first time I guess!

@habitat.network, we are so excited about ATProtocol not so we can get new social networks, but because of the primitives it provides for a world with user data agency. let's build that world.
beyond excited to be giving a talk at #ATmopshereConf and officially unveiling @habitat.network!
i'll be talking about how we're trying to get away from skeumorphism (callback to @rude1.blacksky.team's talk from last year) and building for privacy-first usecases on the protocol. can't wait 🌱
Introducing Ecosystem Action Research: a pilot program to address shared challenges in the AT Protocol ecosystem with a cooperative approach to strategic innovation.

Maybe it doesn't pan out, but right now the development happening on the AT Protocol (which is powering Bluesky app you're using to read this) feels like the impossibility exciting early days of a new and better internet.
At @habitat.network we are exploring the space around private data on the Atmosphere - feeling out the constraints and hidden opportunities that will define the next wave of ATProto enabled apps as they sprout up 🌱🍐
Excited to be sharing more soon!
goodbye, company device & hello, network!
excited to build towards the internet we deserve to have: personal and connected, private and open 🌐

I’ve been wondering about this too from the indexing side. Would the client application be responsible for indexing the data it needs just-in-time when the user is active? Having public infrastructure index private data coming out of repos seems wrong
