Anyone know of a way to export iOS text messages into a csv format?

I know you’re wicked knowledgeable about apps and data nerd stuff @lukestuart.bsky.social. I routinely need to summarize text exchanges with different people & exporting a PDF doesn’t give me what I need.

Anyway my brain is currently soup and I still have a LOT of writing to do this next week & then I’ve told my supervisor i’m going ”offline” for a few weeks to take care of myself. This is an absolute mess of a system.

Because spending 9 hours with someone can tell you a lot about how the rest of the world experiences them—how they handle barriers, big feelings, frustration, and unexpected obstacles.

Also thinking about a harder question tonight:

what do you do when someone simply isn’t ready in the moment they’re called to get their shit together?

Genuine systems question:

if the goal is helping someone—and an unpaid rando like me is allowed to call and ask a therapist questions—shouldn’t the court also be keeping that therapist informed about what’s happening in the case?

Now I get to informally document the entire 9-hour rollercoaster, then write a formal report about it, & also follow up with multiple people to figure out what my ethical & legal obligations are regarding sharing my observations with the therapist.

This has been a boundary pushing case for us all 🫠

Then I had a conversation with their therapist that included things that felt… a little too confidential for an unpaid volunteer to be hearing.

Which raises some questions about what my role is actually supposed to be here.
