The Singing Resistance March returns to Westminster Presbyterian Church to close the demonstration with reflection. The crowd streams from the Nicollet Mall through the open front door of the sanctuary.

Beautiful things happened today as we toured the downtown ice-hotels. Encouragement came from the Iranian demonstrators, from chance passersby, from restaurant staff.

We will win.

You have a unique opportunity to do some interstate diplomacy and share resources with the other states where democracy still exists. 4/n

There is coordinated messaging from ICE agents toward observers, not to mention actual detentions and assaults, that suggest they are happy to escalate without provocation (as if Renee Good’s murder wasn’t enough). If you’re not going to stop them, you can at least commit state resources… 3/n

I’m certain you feel the gravity of such a decision and are eager not to cause further harm by appearing to escalate this matter from your side.

Be assured that the neighbors I know who are facing down federal kidnap squads do not share this concern. We want action that protects us now. 2/n
