Hey atproto folks, I want feedback on some data gathering. I'm trying to get accurate monthly active user counts for each PDS.
A jack-o-lantern on someone’s porch steps. The pumpkin is old and starting to rot in such a way that it looks like an old man with no teeth, making a grumpy expression, with the top also falling in. This pumpkin has seen some stuff.

After waiting 7 months and finally emailing them to enquire the status, today I learned that UCSC simply forgot to issue my PhD.
This is not a serious school.
Let me just remind you about the rents in Santa Cruz (ucop.edu/enrollment-services/d…) where most grads pay 40–50% of their stipend on rents to live in a shared house.
I’ve never seen a system run by a bigger bunch of clowns.
I recommend against going to UCSC (or any other UC) for grad school until they fix their ways.
The incompetent admin is demanding repayment from students (funds which came from grants, not the UC) for “overpayment” because of strikes.
