It wouldn't be the first time that the English royals have cancelled a royal visit, in one direction or another, because they didn't want to be tainted by publicly befriending a murderer. Of course, that wasn't the reason officially given.
All he has to do is send a note via his secretary saying that His Majesty is most disappointed to have to cancel his planned visit indefinitely because Trump is more widely regarded as a murderous brute and a globally embarrassing arsehole.
