There's still some of that 2010s techno-utopianism in the game: the in-game currency is a "near-carbon-neutral proof-of-authority" coin. To our credit, though, EZD has always been less "technology will save us" and more "fight fire with fire."
We just updated the store for Exploit: Zero Day, and it reminds me (@gregoryaveryweir.bsky.social) that, long ago, we wanted to accept crypto as a funny bit, specifically dogecoin. Long before it was a trend. If we'd ever gotten to the research step, we probably would have called it off.
