I see so many authors posting on social media 20 times a day or more, and I'm thinking, if I had that much free time, I would spend it doing actual writing. But that's me.

I'm up every morning at 4:00 a.m. to start my day. Today I slept in till 5:00 a.m. and I felt like a slacker.🤪

Today I hiked 4 miles with my 2 adult children, cleared the area where my wife is putting bee hive boxes, let my chickens dust bathe for 2 hrs while texting with a friend about writing, and finally solved my website RRS blog feed issue. Just another Saturday and I'm content.

Bodhi loves snow, in general, but right now it's frozen solid, making it hard to walk, even for four-footed family members.

Snow is so frozen in Maryland that our Border Collie Bodhi is refusing to do his business. Why else would I put grass- aerating cleats on my boots and dig a little spot in the snow for him to go? So far he's not appreciating my efforts but at some point he's got to go.

You know, even if it's not technically a "scam" (i.e., they don't steal your money and do review it) I would never trust a book review from some book club who was paid by the author for the review. Of course they're only going to say positive things because you paid them. So, a waste of money.

I've read repeatedly that no legitimate book club should ever charge the author. One example below:

That's smart, but amazed that you can work at that speed on a phone. All of my current stories and screenplays are stored on my Google drive for the same reason, so that I can work on them anywhere. Not as productive as you though. Ability to write, and actually writing, are two different things. 😂

Every creative project I work on, whether it's a book, computer game code, or in this case, my new website, I have difficulty knowing when to stop tweaking. The problem is every tweak really does make it better, if even by only 0.001% Obviously I need to find a new project before my head explodes.

I've been reading one novel that's written third person past tense, and anther written first person present tense. Now I don't know if I'm coming or going.🤪

The Hunger Games was written in 1st person >>present tense<< which threw me at first, but grew to accept and then love it. I could NEVER write that way myself though.

Well this sucks. I've been using the excuse; "I have to redesign my author website" for the past month and now it's finished, And tweaked. And error-free. And literally the best website I have ever created. I guess now I need to focus on whether or not there's a secret episode 9 of #StrangerThings.🤪

A perfect day for #writing. Drinking a cappuccino in my new writer's coffee mug (contains opening lines from several dozen classic sci-fi books) with the cat looking on. Now all I need to do is actually write something. 😭

My daughter and I just watched the season 5 and series finale of Stranger Things, and both agreed it was perfect. Wouldn't change a thing. 👍👍
