You are entitled to your own opinion, NOT your own facts. Misinformation is the greatest threat we face: it allows the powerful to manipulate the gullible into doing their bidding. Turns out there are a lot of gullible people.
How can we bring irrational people to understand that rationality and facts matter? People believe what Cletus or Darlene wrote on Facebook: they don’t read the textbooks that would lay out contradictory evidence.

Paying tax is a civic duty and part of the social contract we enter into with our government. The hard-right have recast it as a punishment and something to be avoided. This attitude alone should demonstrate who they are and why they are not fit to run a country that functions for everyone.
