My take is everything is made as 'second screen content' where the devices are incapable of handling any dynamic range

Mostly I'm a programmer and can build these things quickly. Max is a lifetime of learning, and I dont see anyone talking or sharing about building performance oriented rigs. Lots of guys teasing with pics of vids and no details. Hidden Max problems around patch loading and sync. Etc.
WATCH IT - THE DEVIL'S HOUR
FINALLY found a decent TV show: THE DEVIL'S HOUR
It's like a mad British 12 Monkeys crime procedural, and it's really well made and doesn't do any slow paced second-screen oriented bullshit.
9/10
Have you ever wondered what you would find if you could keep your eyes on a bee for more than a few meters? Us, too!

"Get his assβ Is so unreasonably funny to me. A huge win for the English language. Today's version of "seize him" imo

The main idea is setting up parameters for algorithms, and then 'performing' the parameters. So it still stays musical and keeps evolving. And no two live performances will ever sound the same
Max/MSP
I'm basically clean room reverse engineering from this screenshot of their live system, and this video of it in action they put out a few years ago
