My favorite Yank one is just that there's lowered expectations for a Yank's intelligence or understanding. Even Brits who'd swear they don't feel that way do it sometimes. It's honestly kinda *freeing* for someone who has v. high expectations for herself 😂

Oh, I should have put in a laugh emoji, sorry! No need to apologize. I always find the assumptions that (some) Brits make about Yanks to be deeply amusing. It only increases my enjoyment when I'm in the UK 😁

There's an attitude in the UK that all Yanks have the space/money/jealousy of historical shit/weird desires that they don't repress, & would be able to afford and find room for such items

I wish! (At least for the first 2 items—and having the first 2 does enhance what you can do with the latter 😁)
