We need the support of our professional orgs if we are going to be making recommendations beyond the FDA and CDC. There is always a risk of side effects so having institutional backing is appreciated.
What bothers me most is how quiet the science and health community is about whatβs happening in DC.
I get it weβre busy, in our own bubble.
But if you only focus on yourself, by the time you notice DC, itβll be at your front door.
Time to wake up.
It might be science and healthcareβs gun violence moment but not a Jan 6th moment.
