Broadly related to why manufacturers were based in Chicago.
Related, I've got the first coin-op arcade game, 1 of maybe 20 or 50 left, that has a County of San Diego tax stamp from I think 1974 on it. Early regulation was nuts. (Did I mention before I used to work in the industry?)
There were much bigger here in the 80s, I remember pachinko even having some minor popularity, briefly. Malls used to have sizable arcades & there was even a freestanding one (Namco?) near Golden West College, Fullerton had a retro arcade, plus discount gaming like the Nickle Nickle chain.
Thank you, Kind Stranger!
This goes straight to medical fund! π€
No source. No proof.
I figured it was Pete Kegsbreath hitting the bottle before noon (again).

``βStrike and strike [...]β¦ to say no to Trump would be saying no to Godβ¦ we are in a spiritual warβ¦β If youβre still unclear many high up in the Trump regime view this as a Holy War, hereβs a look at Trump spiritual advisor Paula White. (who ... speaks in tongues)``
Do they have some magic included that keeps this rate of charging from depleting the battery lifespan? Rapid charging cooks batteries and shortens service life, not sure how they got around it. Great on the surface, but if it requires battery replacement ~2x as often? Not sure that's a win.
I mean, traffic between A and B, the gas lost idling on the freeway is cheap by comparison; it's still wasted time and money parked on the highway.

The AI that people are attempting to use are LLMs; they're barely advanced over 90s-era chatbots. They hallucinate like mad, and error regularly.
Using one isn't about efficiency, it's about being lazy and "saving time" at the expense of skills development.
Yeah, this is happening.
White xtian nationalists are trying to instigate armageddon.
Totally normal day in magatown.
Great doublespeak. Last I knew, the Constitution didn't prohibit the use of AI or require that a human be at a keyboard in charge of running processes.
As gas prices shot up overnight. π€¦ββοΈ
Only took how long to get to this point?

Americans: "We want health care!"
American government:
I've been saying DHS; ICE is only one component that doesn't benefit us. TSA is nothing but reactive, GAO routinely gets contraband past their Paul Blart agents.
@schneier.com had it right: Only things making us safer flying: Hardened cockpit doors & increased passenger awareness. TSA is theater.
~50% of domestic abuse in the US is perpetrated by LEOs, one of their biggest secrets. Thanks to policing in the US being grown from slave patrols, "abuse suspects" (and domestic partners) takes priority over "keeping the peace".
Notice many PDs have removed "to protect and serve" from their cars?
This is the hopeful thing I've seen in over a decade.
Thank you for that.
Can we maybe stick with calling him Pete Kegsbreath? Calling him Whiskey Pete gives a bad name to white phosphorus.
The willful ignorance of the gop knows no bounds.
Blend the two? Script to batch in ${Y} mobi at a time?
Who needs Signalgate when you've got the corner bar as your distro list?
