This isn’t true, Arcade Infinity had 2 legit kits on launch and an arcade at a college in Dayton Ohio of all places had a legit kit within the same time window. This was before the bootlegs hit (but not by long)

I saw the original Mad Duck clay figure up close, best exhibition ever.
Honestly impressive how great so many of the figures still look. If you’re in Tokyo during its run I highly recommend!
