I feel brioche charts could be much improved by removing all of the extraneous rows between the pattern rows, and using a consistent symbol for each column instead of mapping out whether it’s a brk/brp or sl1yo for that specific square.

Same here. I do occasionally have to add an entry for a design, or look up information on a pattern, but I don’t use the forums anymore. I also very rarely buy a pattern there when a designer’s checkout cart doesn’t think the mailing address it nabbed from my PayPal is valid and won’t complete.

Also, I recommend to anyone who has a Switch or Switch Lite that’s several years old to open it up and replace the thermal paste. Preferably you should use name brand, but even those little packets of generic paste properly applied will be better than the OEM application of paste.

Assuming I didn’t damage those cables, this means that getting a functional Switch Lite again might be as simple as going back in and reseating two cables. (But I still have to remove a lot of screws and reapply thermal paste in the process, so it’s not an entirely trivial operation.)

However, the screen didn’t light up, but that means that I know which specific cables I should be looking at when I go back in. (When I thought it wouldn’t power up at all, the potential culprit was *anything* I had to unseat and reseat when I replaced the fan and analog sticks.)

On a whim, I decided to plug in that Switch Lite I didn’t succeed in repairing earlier this year. After a few minutes of charging, I pressed the power button. I thought I heard a faint sound, so I held it up to my ear and heard the fan spinning very quietly. It can turn on after all!
