Interesting coincidence: each of your two squares happens to be 6 over and 4 down, one on each side! I did not plan that but it is cool
I believe yours is five across and five down on the night side of the work π
I believe i see your motif #442 in second square from the left in the very bottom row of the night side!
sort of both - it is a two-sided artwork and each side is different squares. it's all attached together like a sandwich with supporting drapery fabric between, so that it can hang for weeks without sagging. it weighs almost 25 pounds!

Geordi,
Is there a way to enter our authorization codes by typing them instead of speaking aloud to the computer? Several crew members have complained that they need to memorize a new code after each use because coworkers overheard them.

Cellular automata: Vines on a Fence
This is cellular automata applied to a staggered grid, like in beaded peyote stitch. All of these images were created with the same algorithm, what I call βVines on a Fence.β The only difference among them is how I started each patch. I give the recipe for Vines on a Fence on page 105 of my new book

Drapery fabric with yarn attached at regular intervals in a grid
Project global-to-local in full swing (about halfway done)
The good news is that this changes the problem of alignment from a global problem to a local problem. The grid is set, and I only need to worry about one dot at a time. So future-Laura will be happy, at least
121 dots, attach yarn on both sides of each dot. This yarn will secure the corners of the squares to the backing, then weave along the joined edges to secure those too. This work is BORING and tedious. I have completed the yarn setup for one dot; 120 to go π
