Happy release day to the Magic: The Gathering x Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles set! I was honored to get the opportunity to contribute creative text for this set.

Tell me, who goes to Hell?” 7th is Fr Mulcahey saying “ Sinners, I believe.” The last three panels are all Hawkeye, saying, “ Exactly. There are no innocent bystanders in Hell. But war is chock full of them. Little kids, cripples, old ladies. In fact, except for a few of the brass, almost everybody involved is an innocent bystander.”

I watched these boxes for five minutes and these crackers didn’t do shit. “Entertaining crackers” my ass!

Doing a full rewatch of Stargate SG-1 (because it's not like I haven't consumed enough scifi lately), and god I have missed janky practical effects on a TV budget! And combined with early janky CG effects? It was such a unique aesthetic from such a unique time!

Right? I was excited about my book, whether other people were or not, and having someone sneer about it as I finally got it was unnecessary.
Both are fun and take the story in different directions. Personally, I enjoy human Splinter origins. It adds depth to the Turtles' family history and heritage.
Believe it or not, creators consume media beyond what they produce, and game designers buy things they did not, themselves, work on.
I'm getting harassment because some creepy stalker neckbeards have concluded this post was about the Magic set I lead and posted it top a chud forum. Damn, does it illustrate how nerd communities need to just back the fuck off and let people enjoy things.
