Anyone watching The Beauty?
It does! The cat hates the bloody thing, so my dream of dressing her in a shark suit and getting her to rise the robot is dead in the water...
Yes, it's been ages! Xx
I have to pick stuff up and put it back later, but I don't mind it. I LOATHE hoovering and mopping. The robot does both!
A gloriously golden round loaf of sourdough cools on a wire rack.

I baked another loaf last night. I even went to the theatre while the dough went through its bulk fermentation. #sourdough #baking
The robot hoover is cleaning the bedroom while I drink coffee and knit. Which is precisely why I bought the contraption in the first place, natรผrlich. Best 600 euros I've ever spent.
What a glorious day. I think we've already had our annual allocation of sunlight this week in Luxembourg. After five months of (almost) unremitting dreich, it is beyond welcome.
Thanks, Ste ๐๐ผ Hope all is well with you and yours โค๏ธ
Like knitting and yarn buying, they're two separate hobbies that happen to overlap!!
That's the switch to @eurosky.social complete.
A beige cotton tote bag sits on a grey bench and contains 11 books: 6 paperbacks (history and fiction), 2 hardbacks (baking) and 2 further paperbacks (sewing and knitting).
Medical leave is bad for the bank balance and good for the soul.
Thank you so, so much, my lovely. Doing my best to put the time off work to productive use, whilst giving myself time to heal and be. Being kind to oneself doesn't come easy! Hope all is well with you and yours; sending love โค๏ธ

Quietly pleased with this one. #baking
A day consisting in a succession of bubbles of joy and pockets of sadness.
I've knitting in my lap and a loaf of sourdough in the oven.
Making is solace.
We carry that weight of patriarchy on so many levels... Reassessing and reshaping the self is a blessing, however much it hurts. Sending love โค๏ธ Proud of you ๐ช
I read somewhere that our anger is that part of us that loves us the most and seeks to protect us. I think we need reminding of this periodically (says she who has often equated anger on her own behalf with a loss of dignity - not so much, these days)
Thank you ๐๐ผ๐๐ผโค๏ธ
Thank you, dear Jim โค๏ธ
Thank you, my lovely. Hope all is well with you and yours xx
It is! ๐ซถ
Thank you ๐๐ผ
That's it exactly. Thank you ๐๐ผโค๏ธ Tchin tchin!
Shit news on the family front. In need of comfort. Fresh new bedding on the bed tonight. Knitting a cosy cardigan. Tomorrow: gentleness; self-care; more knitting; sourdough baking.
This was tonight's trite teabag wisdom, which chimes with your post ๐๐ผโค๏ธ

Definitely getting CHIN UP. TITS OUT. ONWARDS. tattoed on my body at some point.
Laid out on a wooden table: a packet of hot cross buns, a box of Cadbury creme eggs, a box of Lemsip, two Biscoff eggs and a bag of Marks and Spencer speckled eggs, along with a greeting card which reads CHIN UP. TITS OUT. ONWARDS.
Every day reminds me how rich I am in friendship. Today, thanks to friendship, I'm also rich in carbs and Lemsip.
On my sofa, with my knitting and Miss Lola, grateful for my best friend/soul sister; a healthcare system that works and isn't on the verge of collapse; and astonishing health cover that makes the process that began in January essentially free at point of use.
The next stage of post-surgery treatment begins today.
The fundamental problem being that the British tend to define themselves in terms of what they're not, as opposed to what they actually are; identifying "British values" then boils down to a process of elimination.
