My brief essay in this is called "The Art of Writing Lore," and it's about how to take those codex/encyclopedia entries to the next level.

I enjoyed A Highland Song quite a bit. The Sorcery! series is still probably my inkle favourite, but AHS is just lovely.
Great game that's worth it for the soundtrack alone - and you're helping a good cause! I seriously think this might be my favourite Inkle game, and that's saying something because they've put out nothing but bangers
Just listened to the intro & 1st episode. What an incredible idea for a book -- letting people write about whatever they think is important and trusting that it'll work out and not be duplicative! I'm so excited to get my copy and read all of the perspectives!
Love this game. One day I'm gonna make a list of my favourite Scotland-inspired games and this will be near the top
my little essay in this is called “I Would Like to Be Included in this Narrative” and it’s about casting as a technique in procedural storytelling to create granular, personalized moments
Not that long ago, advice and lessons on game narrative were fragmented and far between. Thankfully, books like this exist now. So much talent here. If you are interested in game narrative, check it out.

These are so damn good. Seriously, highly recommend.
This project is fascinating to me—an excellent book and it began with an open call, not an exclusive curation mandate. A grab bag of tons of writers from different backgrounds who saw the call and responded with whatever insight was meaningful to them. And it works! I like the essay I wrote for it.
