Corporal O’Connor’s commitment to protecting others will not be forgotten, and I stand alongside the Pennsylvania State Police as they mourn one of their own. My sincere condolences to everyone who knew and loved him.

I am keeping the family, friends, and fellow troopers of Pennsylvania State Police Corporal Timothy O’Connor close in my thoughts as they face the loss of someone who gave so much in service to the Commonwealth.

I’m grateful to work alongside so many strong, dedicated women, whether they are activists, advocates, public servants, or community leaders, who make our communities better.
Today is International Women’s Day, a chance to recognize the women who strengthen our communities, lead in public service, and lift others up every single day. This year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” reminds us that when we invest in women and girls, everyone benefits.
Registration is REQUIRED to attend one of these events, which are free for residents of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia counties.

Yesterday I had the chance to spend some time with the veterans at the Southeastern Veterans’ Center calling bingo, and I had an absolute blast. A big shoutout to Dawn for showing me the ropes and letting me take over the mic for the day. I hope the veterans in attendance had as much fun as I did.
If you or someone you know has been impacted by the justice system, probation or parole, treatment courts, ARD, or domestic relations, Connections Work is hosting a Career Fair, on March 9th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the DoubleTree by Hilton, 701 Penn Street in Reading.
It is imperative that our elected leaders represent the interests and priorities of our residents, not the developers looking to turn a profit on our land and resources.
I joined several of my legislative colleagues last week in Norristown to discuss some of Montgomery County's legislative priorities. The meeting focused on housing resources and the administration of the 2026 elections but we also discussed the proposed data centers across our region.
If a corporation chooses to consume enormous amounts of electricity, it should pay its fair share, not shift the burden onto Pennsylvania families. Senate Bill 1114 awaits action in the Senate Consumer Protection and Professional Licensure Committee. Read more here: buff.ly/3niuRQe
It also mandates long term Cost Responsibility Contracts and empowers the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission to protect residential and small business customers from unfair rate increases.
That is why I introduced SB1114, the Pennsylvania Ratepayer Protection Act. The bill creates a dedicated Large Load Customer Class for new or expanding data centers with peak demand of 20 megawatts or more, requiring them to fully cover the infrastructure and operational costs they generate.
At the same time, rapid data center expansion is driving massive new transmission infrastructure across our grid. Pennsylvanians should not be forced to subsidize that buildout.
Electric bills are rising across Pennsylvania, and families everywhere are feeling it. Meanwhile, as I posted earlier this week, PECO's net income soared 47.7 percent to 814 million dollars in 2025. This has translated to higher bills for consumers and record profits for corporate utilities.
As a former athletic trainer, I understand the dedication required. This year, we highlight the theme "Care You Can Count On" and celebrate the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers’ Society's 50th anniversary. Join me in celebrating athletic trainers in Pennsylvania this month.
March is National Athletic Training Month, celebrating the vital role of athletic trainers beyond just handling injuries. Over 3,000 licensed professionals in the Commonwealth provide prevention, emergency care, and health support for various individuals.

Pennsylvania consumers deserve transparency, accountability, and energy policies that put people first, not corporate profit margins in the race for "AI supremacy". 🙄

I have warned repeatedly that Pennsylvania ratepayers are subsidizing infrastructure built to serve corporate profits. When monopoly utilities and big tech corporations shift these costs onto the public, working families pay more, while corporations and shareholders reap the rewards.
At the same time, demand from massive hyperscale data centers & expansion across the PJM Interconnection grid is driving billions in new infrastructure. Utilities earn guaranteed returns on those investments, while everyday residents & small businesses are forced to pick up the tab.
After regulators approved rate increases, PECO Energy reported net income jumping from 551 million dollars to 814 million dollars in just one year. Those higher profits came directly from higher bills paid by consumers.
