In life David Lynch was known widely for being the absolute king of weird beard arthouse filmmakers. In death, he is known mostly for his kindness, work ethic, and just being an all around rad person that made films HIS way. And I absolutely love that. What a legacy.
Rest in peace, king.
Dialogue from THE INSIDER (1999) Lowell Bergman: You pay me to go get guys like Wigand, to draw him out. To get him to trust us, to get him to go on television. I do. I deliver him. He sits. He talks. He violates his own fucking confidentiality agreement. And he's only the key witness in the biggest public health reform issue, maybe the biggest, most-expensive corporate-malfeasance case in U.S. history. And Jeffrey Wigand, who's out on a limb, does he go on television and tell the truth? Yes. Is it newsworthy? Yes. Are we gonna air it? Of course not. Why? Because he's not telling the truth? No. Because he is telling the truth. That's why we're not going to air it. And the more truth he tells, the worse it gets!
Based on every other comment on Quentin Tarantino's list, he's only a couple more viewings of There Will Be Blood until he declares Paul Dano's performance the best of the century.
BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY: Sinners
BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Amy Madigan, Weapons
Love seeing this pop up! I did the interview + edit for the Victoria Price piece. Couldn't have felt luckier to a) meet her + b) have THIS Vinnie P project to discuss.
Can't look at a potato now and not hear every syllable perfectly enunciated in his voice. And his souffle: "It's a POEM!" π
New trailer I cut for the new double feature from Culture Shock (which you can grab over at @terrorvisionvids.bsky.social)
Whatcha watching first? The one w/ the Incubus co-starring Michelle Bauer, Joe Estevez + Robert Zβdar? Or the one like Mad Max but w/ gratuitous nudity in almost EVERY SCENE?*
When Danny Glover had the guts to say what we all were thinking
Not enough modern movies have a scene where a guy gets hit in the eye and somebody gives them a raw steak to put on it
The MUBI production logo is so artistic I thought the movie started
Your cat when you're choking to death in your apartment
Made my own Whole Bloody Affair trailer when the Kill Bill UHDs came out. So glad the real deal is finally hitting theaters.
Friends: If you can't reach my cell, feel free to call either of my landlines
Looks like satirical product placement, I love it π
Thank you Sensei
God tier if there's a drawn out boxing match with a kangaroo at the end that knocks Ghostface's head off
Scream VIII: Ghostface Down Under
Bonus points if most of the movie is a trip to the continent by boat
They should set Scream VIII in Australia just to have the tagline: Hello Sydney
All I could think when she watches the tape in Shelby Oaks

Love that this livestream had a hot mic opening... but it was me + Brad telling Ryan Verrill (@disc-connected.bsky.social) how beautiful we think he is
Luckily @bradfhenderson.bsky.social saved all the questionable talk for the actual show. Chub up and check it out!

Kid in a Philip Seymour Hoffman Costume.
Happy Halloween!
Terror Vision puts out some weird shit, and they may have just announced their oddest title yet (complimentary)
My only hope is that there is a Mountain Dew or Gatorade knock-off with a MOUNTAIN FURY "flavor" I can drink while I try to make sense of it all
