I literally just went through this workflow, found it a bit confusing but once I got through the whole authoring / baking bits things started to make more sense? The workflow in editor is a UX nightmare though.

In case you missed yesterday, Notepad++ auto-update mechanism was hacked and was delivering backdoored versions for a couple months. Tons of devs use this, uninstall completely what you have, search for the sus files mentioned in article and only download from official site

Yessss or by default cut down frame rate / stop rendering and just blur out the last rendered frame when a player is idle 15+ minutes (may want to be able to disable this for timelapse capture)
No problem with anyone avoiding it from their approach to text-to-speech (which I agree is dumb, they shouldn’t have done it! They shouldn’t even have NPC voiced lines!) but the discourse is so tiring. GenAI is not the future of games *and this game proves it,* this game is good despite it.
The world also feels hella flat and meaningless, looting is quite frustrating and container spawns are incredibly random, major flaws in the world building, the NPCs talk over your friends when you’re trying to get your loadout together, NO SAVED LOADOUTS, crafting is a paaain.
I am also against broadening use of genAI in video games! I’m critical of a lot of this video game and I still think it’s incredible despite its many flaws. The audio in the game (not VO/VA) is flawless, prox chat is GOATed, gameplay is god tier, interactions with people are *incredible*
