Do you ever hotfix?

We have a dev environment but it gets used for big feature testing. And then we hotfix into prod for little things.

Deployment is a weak spot for me…curious for what you’ve learned.

Maybe I’m a cowboy but I’ve been running Claude dangerously, with 2-3 instances simultaneously, on the same project for months and it’s been fine.

Agreed. It felt slow.

But Paris was unusually good, too.

I regularly have Claude Code hang, and then I copy/paste the last 500 lines and say “keep going.”

I wonder if that will break too.

I think this is a big unanswered question. I have a lot of experience with Laravel so directing an agent stays in control.

But I couldn’t direct an agent well in an arbitrary coding setup.

Yep. We have 3 rivers, so that was the inspiration. But it definitely has coastal vibes.

between Dodd Frank, the equal rights act, fair lending practices and the consumer protection bureau…

it’s hard to argue that the regulatory environment is worse for home ownership now than it was 100 years ago.

But housing-as-investment doesn’t work in an era of approximately-zero population growth.

And it’s not like usury was invented in 1995.

One time I read someone say “housing can’t be both affordable and a good investment.”

So I think we’re on the same team…I want affordable, stable housing for my community and I think we should use every tool we have to make sure it’s reality.

I’m not trying to shill for capital but it’s wrong to say that “build houses” ignores the investment-consumption problem.

If there were 900% more houses, no PE firm would be buying them up. At some point even they would become unprofitable.

What am I missing here?
