i say "drama" because with imgur specifically they weren't banned from the UK, they refused to comply after Ofcom threatened to fine them and blocked all UK traffic

SO many places you don't expect to encounter imgur but people have used it under the assumption that this service will always remain Free, Persistent and Available. i always thought that this would fail due to imgur deleting old images or going under though, not censorship drama

most egregious example of imgur being unavailable causing breakages: trying to find an old email for work & found an email from 2022 where the company logo someone's email signature was inexplicably hosted on imgur?!
