That's so cool! Nice work :D
That's so cool! Nice work :D
A minecraft baby zombie covered incorrectly in diamond armour, you can only see the hands and a part of the face sticking out
Doing some digital spring cleaning and I found an archive of every minecraft screenshot I took from about 2012-2016 whilst developing stuff. Oh boy :D
I think this was my first attempt at putting armour on mobs. Look at him π₯Ί
Can you ask them to swing by and take me too? I'm down for an intergalactic road trip.
We figured it out! The chrome extension "Flash Player Enabler" (a repackaged Ruffle, no longer on the store) added this text to all pages. Someone with the extension used a WYSIWYG editor or similar, and then that text gets added to websites by mistake.
THANK YOU! I miss you! Hope you're doing amazing <3
Fellow tech nerds: We (Ruffle) just noticed that a bunch of websites started including the phrase "Today <date> you use ruffle!"
We have literally no idea why. Smells like some malicious injection of some kind. They don't use Ruffle, at least. Any ideas?

It seems to be a mixed bag, some projects don't have a site (eg DxWnd) and some are copies (ShareX)
There's hundreds, maybe thousands of these. I know many of these projects and even I'd be fooled by some of these sites at a glance.
OSS projects are under attack in mass, and I can only assume it's for malware reasons. I've not heard about this on such a big scale before. I'm in absolute shock.
A google search page full of scam websites pretending to be open source projects.
This was the first hit for me when I googled DxWnd, a tool I heard about to help me play an old game on a modern computer. The other hit I found was a _different_ LLM generated website for this tool. The commonality? They both list the same email address.
Googling that email and... holy crap!
A screenshot of a section of a website, where the text is describing what the text itself should say. For example, 'Clear Message: Show a short line like βDxWnd is safe, open-source, and malware-free.β' instead of the actual example text.
I almost fell for a scam site today, pretending to be the homepage of an OSS project that I was looking for.
It looked convincing until I scrolled to read more text. LLM slop is getting scary good at "looks good at a glance".
I don't even know _how_ they managed this. Feeding LLM into LLM somehow?
Quiiiche! I was thinking about you just a few days ago. I miss you! I hope you're okay!
(I'd never dream of being able to post things like this with my old follower count, hurray! π )
I've started a _very unofficial_ discord server where some mojang developers and modders are discussing the rendering overhaul that Minecraft java edition is going through. It's free for all to read (though it's likely quite technical π
), but only relevant modders can speak.

One day.
I miss you, hope you're doing okay!

Thank you! β€οΈ

I work on Java Edition, so assume anything I talk about is specific to that!
Hello world! π
I'm alive! Kinda! Ish!
I've managed to go to the mojang office 5 whole times this year! That's a big achievement for my health and I'm pretty proud.
Now I'm hard at work doing [things] on Minecraft, and I feel like it's going pretty well so far! So many deleted lines of code!
