It was such a cool encounter! One cub would hang by mom and the other would always be running around with mom having to growl and call them back haha, really wish we knew which cub was adopted and which wasn’t!

Researchers in Western #HudsonBay have tracked over 4600 #polarbears across 40 years
There have only been 12 confirmed cases where a mom adopted an abandoned cub
She emerged from her den in the spring with 1 cub, but when we found her again in Nov, she had 2 cubs!

We get a campfire for a few hours a day, but that’s it, so this will be really fun 🤣
I’ll be wearing a less hardcore winter boot on the flight so those boots will have to stay, but I’m definitely bringing the big jacket on the flight!
