So I'm not really using Bsky much these days for posting. I'll probably check it a couple times a week. I probably won't get rid of it like I have a lot of other social media sites because I hate losing contact with friends and good acquaintances, also Bsky haven't done anything to make me consider
Nah not sad at all! We both know forums need to make a comeback! The only reason I didn't go with vB was price. I used to be familiar with the admin side of things but phpBB being free I just ended up getting far more proficient with it and I love it.
so far it's all been my own work.
I am REALLY of the opinion we need to go back to forums where you don't need an account to see and access data - it's purely optional but y'all are welcome to check it out.
It can be archived aswell and not lost forever like all these bespoke discord servers. I'm also open for suggestions,
It's got 2FA setup aswell, a mod that wipes IP addresses every couple days and most importantly - NO ID VERIFICATION. Mature forums(mainly support, not necessarily NSFW / R-rated content) are locked behind usergroups that require admins to manage. If you're interested, check it out and let me know.
It was created for discussing tech, recreational activities and just a nice place to hang out. I am researching some chatboxes to see if there's any real-time chat I can implement securely. I admit that posting has been lacking the past while but again - I'm bad at promoting it.
Ok so I checked out Fluxer, it seems decent but it's still got some maturing to do, especially with the influx of people preparing to jump from Discord. I'd like to take the time to remind you all that I DO have a forum all set, I'm just bad at promoting it. www.techreational.site
in the amount you join, unlike discord servers, which are spun up and killed on a whim, with specialized discord servers for EVERY LITTLE DAMN THING.
abandon these slack-like chat apps and go back to Forums and VOIP servers. At least you can read forums without an account and with VOIP servers they can be setup to show if anyone's online using Web APIs n stuff without needing an account too so you're not blinding going in. You're also not limited
So I guess we're checking out Fluxer with discord pushing ID verification using but not using but might end up using persona, who've worked with ICE in the past among other... bodies. I won't mention that Discord's CS partner got compromised last year with lots of PII stolen. I think we need to

Cool: Wikipedia editors compiled this comprehensive resource on detecting generative text.
Not Cool: Of course slop shovelers are using it to avoid those exact tells.

Screenshot of a T-shirt being sold on the website yzyprints.com The shirt is black Tri-Blend material and it depicts a modern rifle silhouette shown in the trans flag colors. Text surrounding this image, similarly in trans colors, states "you will have to go through me"
I'm not one for consumerism and I don't participate in Black Friday deals, but I will say that the fact that a colleague of mine chose to run with a design I customized and make it available on shirts for others does bring a smile to my face today. πππ³οΈββ§οΈ

I've finally got my forum setup with all the security I feel happy with! MFA is now enabled and globally enforced! Addon to wipe post IPs on a regular basis aswell. Feel free to check it out.

It shouldn't have been gone though I have noticed the SQL crashing a few times... -shrug- will usually fix it soon as I notice though! Thanks, been waiting until I found a solution before mentioning it again!
Here's my suggested solution. I own the domain, I own the hosting, I own the banner image, I own it ALL except the phpbb software, the rest of the theme and the security extensions I enabled. If you're at all interested, please let me know!
quite regularly so there's absolutely no archiving at all meaning a lot of data instantly gets lost.
Going back to my previous point about information being locked behind discord servers - downloads too, whether it's a little indie game, an apworld for achipelago or whatever. I'm sick of it.
setting this up is both a personal project that I've wanted to do for years and my absolute hatred for information being locked behind discord servers which require an account AND you to use one of your 100 join slots(or 200 with nitro) which can run out fast! Also discord servers spin up and down
and didn't feel comfortable promoting it until I had MFA ready to go. There are plenty of public-viewable forums so you don't even need an account to see some of the content in the future but obviously there are a few forums locked behind registration and a couple more usergroups. My motivation for

I'd go with TWAT, personally.
@deviantollam.bsky.social Hey, awesome talk at IRISSCON, shame the timeslot was short. It was very cool to see what actually happens on a physical pen test because I've only heard details of them in the past.

Am I reading this right? Those affected can no longer install any apps at the user level without UAC elevation? Like nothing that goes to `AppData\Local`.
Perhaps this is an accidental cure for a bigger ill, much like penicillin.
