She agreed to comply with transphobes' dehumanizing demands, but they still stripped her of her driver's license. The whistle-blowers were right, the transphobes' end goal really is to fully eliminate transgender people from social life.

The richest man owns X.
The second and third richest men control Google.
The fourth richest man owns Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp.
The fifth richest man owns The Washington Post.
And now the sixth richest could soon take over both Paramount and Warner Bros.
See the problem here?
RΓ³isΓn Murphy @roisinmurphy Feb 8 OK so βqueerβ was reclaimed. It went from a slur - to a political slogan - to a broadened identity - to a market - to a HUGE industry. The first rule of markets is expansion, and I have seen the expansion firsthand, and the cynicism behind it in my industry; the music industry. As long as a market is expanding, it is very hard to to fight its negative effects. While the money is pouring in nobody wants to critique it, even its worst excesses, even authoritarianism and child safeguarding get a slide. Quote RΓ³isΓn Murphy @roisinmurphy Β· Feb 6 Replying to @proudbiwoman @Brig_333 and @daniellismore No one even used the term βqueerβ unless it was to hurt someone who was gay. There were some brilliant drag queens but they never said they were actual women. Oh and the parties were fun then. π RΓ³isΓn Murphy @roisinmurphy Β· Feb 8 And I am not telling anyone what to call themselves.
So, Roisin Murphy makes the statement that 'no one used the term "queer" unless it was to hurt someone who was gay'.
I'm unable to ignore this.
The following isn't about making personal comments about Roisin and it's not about the merits of the word, it's about challenging a lie.
In the early 2000s I was involved with a group that used the term queer in its name and someone made the same arguments. That was 25 years ago so surely people can accept itβs a reclaim term by this point.
I came across the term βselective dogβ and it describes my dog perfectly. She ignores most dogs, has a couple she likes to play with, and very very occasionally snaps at annoying dogs but the term βreactiveβ always seemed a bit much for her.

Miss Piggy is my least favourite muppet. I said it.
I know everyone is supposed to boycott Amazon, but sometimes they have stuff available for same-day delivery to me in London, and it's too tempting
I miss maplin so much
I know I bought stuff before 2003, I definitely bought some computer games before I moved to London at the start of 02, but I feel like back then we didn't have the concept of remembering to use the same account to log in to things
Thought I'd check my oldest Amazon order and it was a christmas present for my boyfriend at the time, bought before several of my colleagues were even born π«
Just looked up a book on Amazon and saw this and honestly I've never felt so ancient π Surely that was just 2 or 3 years ago?
Iβll say one thing for the XL American Bully thing - people are much less judgy about Staffies now.
Theyβve teamed up to mess with me
I always read the novels of shows I've enjoyed, it's just nice to get more context. The first series of The Expanse got me reading the books and they ended up being my favourite ever sci-fi novels
This is how much Raye's website is charging for postage on preorders for her new album π€― And I only noticed after I hit the checkout button.
The first two Heated Rivalry books are sitting at positions 2 and 4 in the official UK book bestsellers list, the chart made up of real sales data - www.thebookseller.com/bestsellers
I hope the Heated Rivalry memes never stop filling my feeds π₯Ή
Starting a war because you didn't win the peace prize is world-historical idiocy
The 'tired Heated Rivalry and it's not for me' gays really don't need to put that negativity out in to the world.
Star Trek: Starfleet Academy has its problems, but it also has black British lesbian Gina Yashere playing a shouty half-Klingon character and for that reason I am going to enjoy every second
Instead they make us wait weeks so we have to avoid all the pop culture influencers posting spoilers and clips, which is REALLY difficult because all the images look identical to OUR Traitors series.
Imagine if the BBC would give us the US Traitors in the same week it's broadcast as in the US, so we had 6 nights of Traitors episodes a week. Imagine.
I was fortunate enough to watch it a few weeks ago. I thought it was going to be a cheap, sexy, low budget, soap style drama. And it is sexy but I was wrong about all the rest. I wouldnβt normally cry at tv shows but the last two eps really got to me. Itβs beautiful.
For long movies I just wait for them to be out for purchase on the Apple movie store so I can watch on the comfort of my sofa and pause whenever I need to. Itβs why people love to binge 10 hours of a tv show at home, comfort breaks whenever you need them.
Gays, Heated Rivalry is on Sky/Now right now. It is brilliant and should be binged in one sitting.
