I have seen similar things in my Cyber/AI world, if it can 0 shot something then its usually fine, but if any refinement or fixes are needed its struggles and makes the worst code, and even that 0 shot working code isn't great

unfortunately the going from ppt/doc to markdown is not very good or consistent, and is quite lossy. So it really only works for the stuff I generate initially. But all of our teams/outlook/office stuff is just so annoying, pretty sure most of my problems are from those

this is a major reason I switched entirely to a terminal and neovim workflow, I can actually get work done. And then just use pandoc to generate docx and pptx files as needed

It amazes me watching my coworkers do stuff and how much longer it takes them than it takes me to do the same things

I switched entirely to Linux and FOSS last year, including replacing Lightroom with Darktable for photo editing, and have been able to make all of my workflows so much better since I get to decide how things work not so evil tech bro. Life is so much better

11 months after mine, and had the same realization in the last couple of weeks, its so great to feel good and happy

I recently switched my personal photo editing workflow to Darktable from lightroom and have all the features I want, and am saving $20 a month, in that case I get it if there are features you use and are not available but otherwise spend the time learning and save some money

it always amazes me how many people and organizations keep using Microsoft or Adobe when their workflows could likely be done entirely in open source applications and for 0 cost. For most people there is no difference better libre office and microsoft office

thought of an interesting solution, I just removed the TV from the wall and will see how I feel over the next few weeks

I will put that in the keep category, and see what other opinions I get, this is very annoying brainworm that started a few weeks ago and it won't go away

thats the annoying thing, is I do use it a lot but also kind of not. 90% of the time its being used I am not looking at it and just on my laptop doing other things essentially listening to whatever is happening. And for the other 10%, honestly could probably just watch on my laptop or desktop

kind of, but the I could instead make the area entirely a reading and social living room without the TV as the focal point. This has been part of a weird transition related thinking through what I actually want in life last couple of weeks.
